Democratic congressional candidate Blake Gendebien has lost his independent Lower Costs Now ballot line after the New York State Board of Elections ruled he did not submit the required number of valid petition signatures.
The decision means Republican Anthony Constantino will appear on two ballot lines in November, while Gendebien will not receive the additional independent line he sought.
The ruling comes as the race to replace Elise Stefanik continues to intensify, with both campaigns now turning their attention toward the general election.
