Anthony Constantino Calls Blake Gendebien a “Fake Farmer” as NY-21 Race Turns Personal

The NY-21 race took a sharp and deeply personal turn overnight after Republican candidate Anthony Constantino used a Facebook post to attack Democratic opponent Blake Gendebien as a “fake farmer,” accusing him of mismanaging his family farm and aligning himself with Democratic policies on immigration, solar development and transgender issues.

Constantino also described Gendebien as an “effeminate leftist puppet,” signaling that the general-election campaign may be moving rapidly away from polite biographies and into a far more aggressive political fight.
